Louvre Abu Dhabi
Overview
Born of a 30-year agreement signed in 2007 between France and the UAE, the museum opened on Saadiyat Island in 2017 beneath Jean Nouvel's vast latticed dome, which scatters a 'rain of light' over the galleries. Its displays place objects from different civilizations side by side by theme and period, combining its own collection with loans from French museums.
