Munch Museum
Overview
Edvard Munch left his own vast collection to the city of Oslo, and the museum opened in 1963, the centenary of his birth. It holds versions of The Scream, Madonna and Vampire, along with thousands of paintings, drawings and prints. In 2021 it moved to a 13-storey tower by Estudio Herreros on the Oslo waterfront, one of the largest museums in the world dedicated to a single artist.
