Museum of Modern Art
Overview
Founded by three women patrons in rented offices days after the Wall Street crash. Starry Night, Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, The Persistence of Memory, and Matisse's Red Studio define modernism's canon. The 2019 expansion by DS+R added 47,000 square feet of galleries.
