Overview
The private collection assembled by the Thyssen family across two generations, bought by Spain in 1993. Nearly 1,000 works fill gaps the Prado leaves: Italian Primitives, Impressionists, German Expressionists, and American painting from Hopper. Housed in the Villahermosa Palace opposite the Prado.
