Founded while the First World War still raged, to record the effort and sacrifice of the empire. Its Lambeth building, a former Bethlem hospital, holds tanks, a Spitfire, a V2 rocket, and the permanent Holocaust galleries. Branches include HMS Belfast and Duxford airfield.
