Naples National Archaeological Museum
Overview
The richest repository of Greco-Roman antiquities, holding the Farnese collection: the Hercules, the Bull, and gem cabinets. Frescoes and mosaics from Pompeii and Herculaneum fill upstairs galleries, including the Alexander Mosaic. The Secret Cabinet preserves erotic Roman art locked away for two centuries.
